What is FIR?
First Information Report As the name suggests, if any person or in any way the first information is received by the police and when it is filed as a report by the police organization, then we do the first information report. The main purpose of the first information report is that whatever information the police recorded first and made a record of it, we record the first information and it is a type of report which is made by the police.

hen Can Police Refuse to File an FIR?
If the case is non-cognizable, the police may direct you to a magistrate.
